Role Overview
The HR Specialist - Benefits will be a part of People Operations, the global shared service arm of Human Resource Function. This role will be liable for
administering the benefits portfolio under the guidance of the Total Rewards Manager / Benefits Supervisor.
Detailed responsibilities include (but not limited to) the, following :
- Rewards benchmarking and surveys : Participating in benefits benchmarking surveys. Supports Total Rewards Manager / Benefits Supervisor in the analysis of benefits benchmarking report.
- Health and Life Insurance Benefits Administration :
- Renewal : Taking the lead in the benefit renewals for the country(ies) within the purview including making recommendations and obtaining approvals, testing and configuration of enrolment system, drafting communication / system access guide, updating employee records in system and responding to employee queries.
- Operations : Timely additions and deletions of employees / dependents under the benefits, supporting invoice payments etc.
- Policy Performance Review : Participating in benefits performance reviews and suggesting methods for improvements in the performance matrices.
- Communication :
- Enhancing Employee Awareness : Creating platforms for increasing employees awareness related to the benefits. Partner with benefits COE and vendors to update benefit materials in accordance with plan updates and regulations.
- Query Resolution : Working closely with brokers / insurers to provide support to the employees on benefit related queries. Responding to queries escalated by Advisory Services.
- Service Awards : Providing guidance on service award and retirement program administration to Project HRs / Event Planners. Assisting with Project HRs / Admin supports to ensure timely completion of service award related activities.
- Employee Data Management : Maintaining employee data, information and working files according to required confidentiality/privacy standards and best practices.
Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in human resources or related field with minimum 2 years of experience in Benefits Administration OR 4 - 6 years of overall related experience in lieu of Degree (preferably with demonstrated increasing responsibility over time).
- Experience of working closely with international team(s) within a large matrix organization
- Excellent English and Arabic language skills (written / verbal) and experience in the preparation and presentation of reports.
Preferred Qualifications
- Knowledge of HR master data / systems knowledge within SAP
- Strong Microsoft Office skills (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Teams, Outlook, etc.)
- Possess service mindset and ability to build strong relationships
- Ability to work with little supervision
- Ability to work in a high-volume transaction environment
- Proactive, flexible, and adaptive to changing priorities
- Effective communication, interpersonal and collaboration skills
