Job Description

The HR Specialist – HRIS & Payroll is responsible for maintaining the integrity, accuracy, and effectiveness of the Human Resources Information System (HRIS) while supporting payroll operations. The role acts as the HR system subject matter expert, ensuring accurate employee data, managing system enhancements, supporting SAP HR processes, and serving as the designated payroll backup. The position also supports payroll-related administration, statutory reporting, and continuous improvement of HR systems and processes.

HR Information System (HRIS)

  • Serve as the HRIS focal point for SAP Human Capital Management (HCM) and related HR systems.
  • Maintain employee master data and ensure data accuracy, integrity, and completeness.
  • Perform bulk uploads, mass data updates, and system maintenance activities.
  • Monitor HR data quality through regular audits and validation checks.
  • Identify system issues and recommend enhancements to improve HR processes and user experience.
  • Coordinate with IT, SAP consultants, and external vendors on HR system configurations, testing, and issue resolution.
  • Support HR system implementations, upgrades, integrations, and new functionality.
  • Prepare HR system reports, dashboards, and data analytics as required.
  • Develop and maintain HRIS documentation, user guides, and standard operating procedures.
  • Provide system training and support to HR users.

Payroll Support

  • Act as the designated backup for payroll processing to ensure business continuity.
  • Support monthly payroll preparation, validation, and reconciliation.
  • Verify payroll inputs including employee movements, leave, overtime, allowances, deductions, and final settlements.
  • Process End of Service Benefits (EOSB) calculations and related documentation.
  • Respond to employee payroll and pension-related queries.
  • Ensure payroll records comply with company policies and statutory requirements.
  • Assist with payroll audits and statutory reporting where applicable.

Qualifications / Experience /Special Conditions or Requirements

Education

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Information systems , Computer science , Business Administration, , or related discipline.

Experience

  • 4–6 years of experience in HRIS, Payroll, or HR Operations.
  • Hands-on experience with SAP HCM/SuccessFactors or similar HRIS platforms.
  • Proved experience in leading SAP implementation for H2R
  • Experience supporting payroll processing and HR master data management.
  • Experience with HR reporting, data analysis, and system implementation projects is preferred.
