HSE Auditor – Key Responsibilities
- Conduct periodic HSE audits and inspections across work sites and facilities to ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental requirements.
- Verify compliance with company HSE policies, procedures, OSHA standards, and applicable regulatory requirements.
- Identify hazards, unsafe practices, and non-conformities and document findings in audit reports.
- Prepare comprehensive HSE audit reports, including observations, recommendations, and required corrective actions.
- Follow up on Corrective and Preventive Actions (CAPA) and verify timely closure of audit findings.
- Perform field inspections to assess the effectiveness of risk control measures and safe work practices.
- Review Risk Assessments, JSA/JHA, and Permit to Work (PTW) systems for compliance and effectiveness.
- Audit employees and contractors to ensure adherence to HSE requirements and site safety procedures.
- Review incident, injury, and near-miss records and verify the implementation of corrective actions.
- Monitor and analyze HSE Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and identify opportunities for continuous improvement.
- Verify the availability and effectiveness of emergency response plans, firefighting equipment, and Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
- Develop and maintain annual and periodic HSE audit plans in accordance with project and company requirements.
- Provide recommendations to management to improve HSE performance and reduce workplace risks.
- Maintain accurate HSE audit records, documentation, and corrective action tracking systems.
