Our client is looking for a HSE Auditing Consultant who will be responsible for evaluating and improving the effectiveness of HSE Management Systems and practices within client organizations. The role involves conducting audits across different clients, their departments and sites.
Ensuring compliance with client policies, procedures, legal and regulatory requirements and operational practices.
These may include compliance with requirements such as the ADOSH SF, as well as international standards such as ISO 45001.
Identifying risks and recommending improvements to strengthen both workplace safety and regulatory compliance.
The role will require extensive travel within the UAE and occasional travel to other MENA.
Responsibilities
Plan, coordinate, and conduct internal audits of health and safety management systems
Assess compliance with ISO 45001, ISO 14001, MENA, local UAE and Emirate specific HSE laws, and client organizational safety procedures
Identify gaps, risks, and non-conformities in occupational health and safety practices
Prepare detailed audit reports, outlining findings, risks, and corrective action plans
Monitor and verify the implementation of corrective and preventive actions
Support clients in achieving continuous improvement in HSE performance
Conduct risk assessments and review risk registers for accuracy and effectiveness
Evaluate emergency response preparedness and incident investigation processes
Provide recommendations to reduce hazards, improve controls, and promote a safety culture
Stay current on health, safety, and environmental legislation and best practices
Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures
Liaise with vendors, clients, and service providers as required
Any other duties as requested by the General Manager or Lead Consultant
Competencies
NEBOSH IGC
ISO 45001 Lead Auditor
ISO 14001 Lead Auditor
In depth knowledge of ADOSH SF
In depth knowledge of UAE Health and Safety laws
Minimum 5+ years of experience in an Health and Safety Auditor role
Possession of excellent English writing and verbal skills is essential
Must be detail oriented and able to prepare and evaluate documents/reports to a very high standard
Exemplary time management skills, able to well manage own time
Ability to work to tight schedules and deliver on time deadlines mandatory
Excellent interpersonal skills, ability to quickly establish and maintain effective working relationships with both staff and clients
Assertive and pleasant personality able to integrate quickly and work well with large numbers of people
Mature approach well able to make balanced and ethical decisions
