The HSE Project Manager will be responsible for leading the health, safety, and environmental management system across construction project in the UAE, ensuring full compliance with project requirements, Client standards, UAE regulations, and international HSE best practices. The role involves developing and implementing HSE strategies, leading site HSE teams, conducting risk assessments, audits, and incident investigations, ensuring compliance with client and regulatory requirements, promoting a strong safety culture, and collaborating with project teams to achieve safe, efficient, and incident-free project execution.
Job Responsibilities:
• Ensure that HSE policy is followed and applied on project sites to minimize hazards and risks.
• Increase the HSE team's awareness of the importance of their health, the environment, and the equipment used on site.
• Monitor all activities on site through a method statement to list all activities, how they will be done, and proactively determine the hazards to be eliminated before happening.
• Manage the firefighting process plan and communicate information about the emergency exits, assembly points, and fire extinguishers to ensure that they are well known to everyone.
• Inform the electricity team of all the hazards that they may be exposed to and communicate the precautions to be taken in order to avoid them.
• Attend the daily progress meeting to coordinate, schedule, and set the precautions to be taken for each activity during the day.
• Issue permits-to-work to authorized people to carry out specific, high-risk work against previously agreed safety procedures.
• Attend the weekly progress meeting to identify the development of each HSE activity and to advise on the activities to be conducted in the upcoming week.
• Liaise with the HSE team to identify and determine their concerns and the issues that they may be facing on site to tackle and resolve them.
• Prepare the weekly and monthly statistics report, including all details such as the number of first aid incidents, training attendees, employees onsite, etc., to be sent to the HSE department management.
• Prepare the self-assessment report to measure the performance of all bands on site, e.g. housekeeping, personal protective kits, electrical cables, tools, etc., to be sent to the HSE department management.
