Job Title: HSE Manager – Oil & Gas
Job Purpose
Responsible for leading and implementing health, safety, and environmental systems across oil & gas operations, ensuring full compliance with regulations and company standards while promoting a strong safety culture.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement HSE policies and strategies across projects and operations
- Ensure compliance with oil & gas safety standards and regulatory requirements
- Lead process safety management (HAZOP, HAZID, risk assessments, etc.)
- Oversee site safety during construction, commissioning, and operations
- Monitor and manage contractor HSE performance
- Investigate incidents and ensure corrective actions are implemented
- Ensure environmental compliance (waste, emissions, spills, etc.)
- Conduct audits and inspections to maintain HSE standards
- Lead emergency response planning and drills
- Promote safety awareness and training across teams
Requirements
Education
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, HSE, or related field
- NEBOSH / IOSH / ISO certifications preferred
Experience
- 12+ years in HSE within oil & gas
- Experience in EPC projects and operational facilities
- Strong exposure to construction and live plant environments
Key Skills
- Strong knowledge of oil & gas safety standards (ISO, API, OSHA)
- Experience in process safety and risk management
- Excellent leadership and communication skills
- Ability to manage contractors and high-risk activities
- Strong incident investigation and problem-solving skills
