Job Description

ASMO is a groundbreaking joint venture between DHL and Aramco. Inheriting DHL's logistics excellence and Aramco's extensive supply chain ecosystem, we are here to set a new benchmark and redefine the procurement and supply chain landscape, enabling growth.

ASMO aims to be operational in 2025 and provide reliable end-to-end integrated procurement and supply chain services for companies across the industrial, energy, chemical, and petrochemical sectors. Our focus customers in the short term will be Saudi Aramco and its Affiliates. In the long term, all the industrial sectors within Saudi Arabia aim to reach the MENA region.

Objective

The HSE Officer plays a pivotal role in ensuring the effective implementation of safety measures and fostering a culture of safety, security and environmental responsibility within ASMO.

General Responsibilities

  • Collaborate closely with the HSE team to implement safety initiatives and programs across the organization, ensuring alignment with HSE strategy and objectives.
  • Monitor and ensure compliance with relevant safety laws, regulations, and industry standards, actively managing and mitigating safety-related risks.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of safety policies, procedures, and guidelines, contributing to the overall safeguarding of employees, assets, and the environment.
  • Contribute to the establishment and maintenance of a robust Safety Management System, encompassing risk assessments, incident reporting, investigations, and corrective actions.
  • Support the Head of HSE in overseeing ASMO's response to incidents, emergencies, and accidents, ensuring timely and effective mitigation measures.
  • Contribute to sustainability initiatives, minimizing ASMO's environmental footprint, promoting eco-friendly practices, and supporting environmental responsibility commitments.
  • Assist in the development and maintenance of security protocols and crisis management plans to protect personnel, assets, and operations.
  • Collaborate on the development and delivery of comprehensive HSE training programs, equipping employees with the necessary knowledge and skills for a safe, secure, and environmentally responsible workplace.
  • Contribute to the tracking and reporting of key HSE performance indicators and metrics, identifying areas for improvement.
  • Engage with internal and external stakeholders, including regulatory agencies, to ensure transparent communication and collaboration on safety, security, and environmental matters.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, or equivalent from a recognized and accredited university is required.
  • Master's degree in Environmental Science, or equivalent from a recognized and accredited university is preferred.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in oral and written English.
  • 5 years experience in similar or related field.
  • Deadline is one month from posting.
