Job Description

Black & Grey HR is hiring for a leading food manufacturing company in Saudi Arabia for the position of HSE Officer. The role will support the implementation and monitoring of health, safety, and environmental programs at the factory, ensuring compliance with company policies, regulatory requirements, and industry best practices.

Responsibilities:

  • Implement and monitor HSE policies, procedures, and programs across the factory.
  • Conduct routine inspections, safety audits, and workplace observations to identify hazards and unsafe conditions.
  • Perform risk assessments and recommend appropriate control measures.
  • Ensure compliance with PPE requirements, safe work procedures, LOTOTO, permit-to-work systems, and other critical safety protocols.
  • Investigate accidents, incidents, near misses, and unsafe acts, and prepare detailed reports.
  • Follow up on corrective and preventive actions to ensure timely closure.
  • Conduct toolbox talks, safety inductions, training sessions, and HSE awareness programs.
  • Monitor fire safety systems, emergency preparedness, evacuation procedures, and emergency drills.
  • Ensure proper handling, storage, and disposal of chemicals and hazardous materials.
  • Monitor environmental practices, waste management, housekeeping, and workplace hygiene.
  • Maintain HSE documentation, inspection checklists, incident reports, training records, and compliance reports.
  • Support internal and external audits and ensure timely resolution of audit findings.
  • Coordinate with production, maintenance, quality, and other departments to promote a safe working environment.
  • Promote continuous improvement in HSE performance and develop a strong safety culture across the factory.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree or Diploma in Occupational Health & Safety, Environmental Science, Engineering, or a related discipline.
  • 3–5 years of experience in HSE, preferably within food manufacturing, FMCG, or industrial manufacturing environments.
  • Relevant HSE certifications such as NEBOSH, IOSH, OSHA, or equivalent are preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of risk assessment, incident investigation, emergency response, fire safety, and workplace safety practices.
  • Familiarity with ISO 45001, ISO 14001, HACCP, and food safety requirements is an advantage.
  • Knowledge of Saudi HSE regulations and applicable industrial safety standards.
  • Strong communication, documentation, inspection, and reporting skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a factory environment and coordinate with cross-functional teams.
  • Proactive, detail-oriented, and committed to maintaining high HSE standards.
