Job Description

We are currently hiring an experienced HSE Officer to join our project team in Saudi Arabia. The selected candidate will be responsible for implementing health, safety, and environmental policies on-site, ensuring compliance with local regulations, client requirements, and international HSE standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Implement and monitor HSE policies, procedures, and site safety plans.
  • Conduct daily site inspections and identify unsafe conditions or practices.
  • Ensure compliance with Saudi HSE regulations and project safety requirements.
  • Conduct toolbox talks, safety inductions, and awareness sessions for site personnel.
  • Prepare and maintain HSE reports, incident logs, risk assessments, and safety documentation.
  • Investigate incidents, near misses, and unsafe acts, and recommend corrective actions.
  • Monitor use of PPE and ensure adherence to safety procedures.
  • Coordinate emergency response activities and first aid readiness on-site.
  • Support the HSE Manager in implementing safety improvement initiatives.

Qualifications & Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or Diploma in Occupational Health & Safety, Engineering, or related field.
  • Valid OSH Certificate (Kawader certificate) issued by the Saudi Ministry of Human Resources and Social Development (mandatory).
  • Minimum 2 years of relevant HSE experience.
  • NEBOSH Certificate is strongly preferred.
  • Candidates holding IOSH certification may be considered if they have minimum 4 years of relevant experience.
  • Valid First Aid Certificate is required.
  • Good knowledge of HSE regulations, risk assessment, and incident reporting.
  • Strong communication skills in English (Arabic is an advantage).
  • Preference will be given to Saudi nationals.

Preferred Skills

  • Strong knowledge of construction / industrial site safety practices.
  • Ability to conduct inspections, audits, and safety training.
  • Strong reporting and documentation skills.
  • Good problem-solving and incident investigation skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and in a fast-paced site environment.
