We are currently seeking a highly motivated HSE Officer to join our team in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia
Position Overview
Plays a critical role in maintaining a safe and compliant work environment by implementing health and safety policies, conducting regular inspections, and ensuring all activities adhere to relevant standards and regulations. This role involves close collaboration with project teams to assess risks, enforce safety protocols, and foster a culture of health and safety awareness.
Core job functions
- Monitor site activities and report on safety violations.
- Conduct scheduled and ad hoc daily site inspections to identify unsafe conditions, unsafe practices, and unsafe equipment's and tools, log deviations via the Action Notice system.
- Interface with site supervision and employees to advise on compliance with HSE requirements.
- Monitor and ensure proper PPE are being used by employees.
- Conduct monthly HSE Dashboard Inspections, either independently or as part of a team.
- Assist with DSTI's, Toolbox Talks communication.
- Report all HSE violations requiring immediate and urgent attention to the project HSE Manager or HSE Lead.
- Promote safety awareness by participating in HSE Awareness programmes, HSE Incentive Initiatives, HSE meetings, Fire/Evacuation drills and any other HSE programmes.
- Assist with Accident/ Incident Investigations.
- Monitoring and conducti inspections on Sub-Contractor activities and reporting deviations via the Action Notice System.
Qualifications
- Degree or Diploma in Occupational Health and Safety, Engineering or other relevant field
- Registration with the Occupational Safety and Health professionals program from Human Resources and Social Development as a (professional or practitioner) in KSA
Other HSE training (will be an advantage)
- NEBOSH IGC
- OSHA 30 Hours
- First Aid/CPR/AED
- Emergency Response
- Fire fighting
Skills
- Must be able to communicate effectively in English (read, write, speak).
- Must have basic computer skills (MS Office).
- Must demonstrate a high level of integrity.
- Must be willing to work outdoors on a daily basis, fulfilling safety and security roles.
- Must be confident and able to deal effectively with conflict situations.
