HSE Senior Specialist

Position Summary

The role is responsible for maintaining and enhancing the organisation's Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) management systems, ensuring compliance with governmental regulations, supporting operational projects, promoting safety awareness, and supervising site safety activities.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain and improve the Health & Safety Management System.
• Promote HSE awareness and safety culture among employees.
• Support communication and consultation regarding HSE policies, plans, and performance.
• Partner closely with project teams to ensure safe project execution.
• Prepare and submit monthly HSE reports.
• Identify risks and propose preventive and corrective actions.
• Lead, coach, and develop team members, identifying training needs.
• Monitor and follow up on all site activities to ensure compliance.
• Ensure compliance with Ministry of Environment regulations.
• Ensure compliance with Ministry of Manpower and Civil Defence requirements.

Required Qualifications & Certifications

• OSHA General Industry and Construction Industry certifications.
• Firefighting and first aid certification.
• ISO 45001 & ISO 14001 Lead Auditor certification.
• NEBOSH certification.
• NFPA certification.
• Strong technical reporting skills.
• Strong leadership and team management capabilities.
• Analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Minimum 1 year of experience in an industrial environment.
