HSE Shift Leader

MAFI For Agricultural Produce Industries is looking for HSE Shift Leader to ensure a safe and compliant workplace during assigned shifts, by implementing HSE policies, managing risks, and leading emergency preparedness.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct daily pre-shift safety inspections and regular safety audits, and follow up on corrective actions
• Investigate accidents, near misses, and hazards, with root cause analysis and preventive measures
• Act as the designated safety officer during shifts: manage emergencies and coordinate with external response teams
• Carry out risk assessments and implement corrective actions
• Analyze safety trends from audits and incident reports to prevent future risks
• Lead safety drills and deliver hands-on training (PPE, safety equipment, emergency protocols)
• Monitor safe handling and disposal of hazardous materials in line with environmental regulations
• Support sustainability goals: waste reduction, energy conservation, eco-friendly practices
• Maintain accurate HSE records and support monthly/quarterly safety reporting
• Work with the HSE Manager to update safety policies in response to emerging risks and regulatory changes

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Occupational Health & Safety, Environmental Science, Industrial Engineering, or a related field (preferred)
• NEBOSH, OSHA, or equivalent certification (mandatory)
• 4+ years of HSE experience, including 2+ years in a leadership role
• Manufacturing industry experience (a must)
• Strong skills in risk assessment, incident investigation, emergency response planning, safety auditing, and HSE training delivery
• Solid knowledge of local and international HSE regulations
• Strong data management and reporting skills
• Leadership skills: team leadership, drive & execution, talent development, collaboration
• Proficient in English and Arabic
