Job Summary
The HSE Trainer is responsible for designing, delivering, and monitoring Health, Safety & Environment training programs for employees, contractors, and subcontractors across Oil & Gas and Petrochemical construction projects. The role ensures workforce competency, regulatory compliance, and alignment with international HSE standards while promoting a strong safety culture on project sites (onshore/offshore).
Roles & Responsibilities
- Conduct HSE inductions for new employees, contractors, and visitors at project sites.
- Deliver mandatory and specialized safety training such as Work at Height, Confined Space Entry, PTW, LOTO, Fire Safety, HIRA/JSA, Scaffolding, Electrical Safety, and Emergency Response.
- Organize toolbox talks, safety campaigns, mock drills, and emergency simulations.
- Evaluate trainee competency through assessments and practical demonstrations.
- Maintain training matrix, competency records, and monthly HSE training reports.
- Ensure compliance with OSHA, NEBOSH, ISO 45001, and ISO 14001 standards.
- Support internal and external HSE audits and inspections.
- Participate in risk assessments, incident investigations, and Job Safety Analysis (JSA).
- Conduct Behavior-Based Safety (BBS) observations and recommend corrective actions.
- Coordinate with HSE Manager and Project Teams to implement safety training strategies.
Mandatory Requirements
- Diploma / Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Industrial Safety, or Occupational Health.
- 510 years of HSE experience in Oil & Gas / Petrochemical / EPC construction projects.
- Minimum 23 years of experience specifically as an HSE Trainer.
- Strong knowledge of international safety standards (OSHA, ISO 45001, NEBOSH guidelines).
- Experience in onshore/offshore project environments.
- Good communication and presentation skills.
