Key Responsibilities:
- Facilitate toolbox talks and actively promote a strong safety culture
- Lead risk assessment meetings to identify and mitigate potential risks
- Conduct daily inspections and audits of all work areasVerify adherence to approved HSE plans, method statements, and risk assessments
- Ensure activities maintain valid permits, licenses, and certifications
- Ensure all activities comply with local laws, client HSE requirements, and deugro standards
- Liaise with client HSE representatives during inspections and audits
- Support case management activities including occurrence investigation, root-cause analysis, reporting, and corrective action management via Evotix360
- Develop, implement, communicate, and follow up on immediate, corrective, and preventive actions from incident investigations and subcontractor audits via Evotix360
- Implement usage of ROAM 5 (Evotix360 mobile application) across the region to promote proactive HSES observation reporting
- Maintain accurate records of inspections, audits, and compliance reports
- Support deugro branches and corporate functions on prequalification, tenders, questionnaires, and provision of up-to-date ISO certification and HSES statistics
- Maintain and update IMS documentation in HELIX, HSES shared drives, and Evotix360
- Assist in planning projects by preparing project-specific HSES documentation and Safe Systems of Work (risk assessments, regional work instructions, job safety analysis, toolbox talks, etc.)
- Support project teams during execution by participating in site safety activities including HSES meetings, safety inspections, and audits
- Provide HSES support to colleagues, subcontractors, clients, and external parties pre- and post-contract award through execution and close-out
- Support creation of HSES moments, initiatives, lessons learned, and case studies
- Assist in developing, maintaining, and improving HSES training concepts and materials on My Talent Center within HELIX
- Contribute to the delivery of HSES training across teams
- Participate in meetings, events, and training related to HSES subjects as required
Skills, knowledge, and expertise:
- Bachelor's degree/ Diploma preferably in Occupational Health and Safety
- National Examination Board in Occupational Health and Safety (NEBOSH) Certification
- Minimum experience of 3-5 years as a full-time HSES professional
- Having prior experience in an Occupational Health and Safety role working for or with ADNOC is preferred
- Proven track record of working in the logistics industry, preferably in a Health and Safety role for offshore projects
- Accredited lead or internal auditor qualification preferred
- Experience in a variety of risk management processes and tools such as HAZID, HAZOP, HIRA, JSA and PTW
- Must be able to pass a background check to obtain as required any security sensitive clearance in locations located within the region
- Effective interpersonal skills including leadership, communication, effective negotiation and conflict resolution, team player with a proactive work ethic
- Experience in conducting investigations and creating HSES reports as applicable
- Ability to work in a multi-cultural environment
- Proficient in reading, understanding, and analysing technical HSES documents
- Strong organizational, documentation and technical writing skills
- Willingness to travel when required
- First class computer skills, proficient in the use of all Microsoft Office applications
