General Description
The HR Specialist is a senior human resource professional responsible for leading and enhancing core HR functions while championing a positive workplace culture and strong employee engagement. This role demands comprehensive knowledge of HR best practices, policies and procedures, and labor regulations. The HR Specialist will independently manage HR support activities, oversee recruitment and onboarding processes, and deliver accurate HR records and compliance reports to support strategic organizational objectives.
Key Responsibilities
- Drive the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of HR policies and
procedures in alignment with organizational goals and legal requirements.
- Oversee employee onboarding and orientation programs to ensure a seamless and engaging new
hire experience.
- Maintain and safeguard HR records, ensuring full compliance with applicable labor laws,
regulations, and data protection standards.
- Draft, review, and manage a full range of employment documentation including offer letters,
employment contracts, contract amendments, probation confirmations, promotion letters, warning
letters, and termination letters, ensuring accuracy and legal compliance at all times.
- Ensure all employment contracts and agreements are aligned with local labour law requirements,
company policy, and relevant statutory obligations; escalate discrepancies to legal counsel when
required.
- Maintain a thorough and up-to-date understanding of applicable labour legislation, including but
not limited to employment standards, working hours, leave entitlements, end-of-service benefits,
and termination procedures.
- Serve as a knowledgeable and trusted resource for employee inquiries, providing timely and
effective guidance on all HR-related matters.
- Produce comprehensive HR reports on workforce trends, and employee development to support
data-driven decision-making.
- Partner with leadership and employees at all levels to cultivate an inclusive, engaging, and high performing workplace culture.
- Lead or contribute to additional HR projects and initiatives as directed by the direct line manager
Qualification Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Postgraduate degree or diploma in Human Resources or Management is a strong asset.
- Minimum 6 years of progressive, hands-on experience in human resources or a closely related field.
- In-depth working knowledge of HRIS systems and applicable labor laws and employment
regulations.
- Advanced proficiency in HR software platforms and Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel,
PowerPoint, Outlook).
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to produce accurate and insightful HR reports.
- Proven ability to collaborate effectively within cross-functional teams to deliver results.
- Demonstrated ability to work under pressure, manage competing priorities, and meet deadlines
with flexibility.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English; additional languages are an
advantage.
- High degree of self-motivation with the ability to work independently and consistently deliver on
time.
