About the Role
The HVAC Technician (Applied & DX) is responsible for the Installation, Operations, Maintenance, Troubleshooting and Repair of Applied and DX systems to ensure reliable operation and high customer satisfaction. Based in Doha, Qatar, this role requires hands-on technical expertise, strong diagnostic capability, and adherence to safety and service quality standards. The technician will execute service activities independently on-site while coordinating closely with supervisors and service teams to meet contractual SLAs and operational targets.
How You Will Make an Impact
Service Execution & Technical Support
- Perform installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of Applied (Chillers, AHUs, FCUs) and DX & VRV / VRF systems.
- Diagnose electrical, mechanical, and control faults and carry out corrective actions efficiently.
- Support commissioning, operation & maintenance activities to ensure systems operate as per OEM standards.
Troubleshooting & System Performance
- Identify root causes of system issues and minimize repeat breakdowns.
- Optimize system performance through proper servicing, parameter checks, and minor adjustments.
- Escalate complex or recurring technical issues to supervisors when required.
Customer Interaction & Service Quality
- Act as the on-site technical representative and maintain professional communication with customers.
- Explain service activities, findings, and recommendations clearly.
- Ensure high service quality and customer satisfaction during all visits.
Reporting & Coordination
- Complete service reports, checklists, and job documentation accurately and on time.
- Record system data, faults, and actions taken.
- Coordinate with supervisors, planners, and spare parts teams for smooth execution.
Safety & Compliance
- Follow all safety procedures, PPE requirements, and permit systems.
- Ensure safe handling of tools, equipment, and refrigerants.
Continuous Learning
- Stay updated on product knowledge, service practices, and new HVAC technologies.
- Participate in trainings and apply learning in field activities.
What You Need to Succeed
- Technical Diploma (ITI / Diploma in Mechanical, Refrigeration & Air Conditioning, or equivalent).
- Minimum 3 years of hands-on experience in HVAC service (installation, maintenance, troubleshooting).
- Experience in DX & VRV/VRF systems and/or Applied equipment (Chillers, AHUs, FCUs).
- Strong troubleshooting skills in electrical and refrigeration systems.
- Basic knowledge of HVAC controls and schematics reading.
- Ability to work independently at customer sites.
- Good communication and customer-handling skills.
- Familiarity with service reporting tools (manual or digital).
- Strong commitment to safety and quality standards.
- Valid Qatar Driving License is an added advantage.
