Job Purpose
The HVAC Technician Supervisor is responsible for supervising and leading the installation team responsible for scent diffusion systems integrated with HVAC systems. The role ensures that all installations are completed safely, efficiently, and according to company standards while providing technical guidance, developing the mechanical team, and maintaining high levels of customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities
Team Leadership & Supervision
- Supervise, lead, and coordinate a team of HVAC technicians and installation staff.
- Assign daily work schedules, installation tasks, and project priorities.
- Monitor technician performance, productivity, and workmanship.
- Train, mentor, and develop technicians to improve their technical and practical skills.
- Conduct regular performance evaluations and recommend training and development plans.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, safety procedures, and quality standards.
- Support recruitment, onboarding, and continuous development of the mechanical installation team.
HVAC Installation & Technical Operations
- Supervise the installation and integration of scent diffusion systems with HVAC systems.
- Review HVAC drawings, layouts, and ductwork before installation.
- Identify the optimal installation points to achieve maximum fragrance distribution.
- Oversee work involving air ducts, AHUs, FCUs, ventilation systems, and airflow balancing.
- Perform or supervise minor HVAC modifications and airflow adjustments to optimize system performance.
- Ensure installations comply with engineering specifications and customer requirements.
- Conduct system testing, commissioning, and final inspections before project handover.
- Troubleshoot complex installation issues and provide technical solutions.
Mechanical Team Development
- Develop and implement technical training programs for HVAC technicians.
- Coach technicians on installation best practices, troubleshooting, and preventive maintenance.
- Standardize installation procedures and technical documentation.
- Identify skill gaps and prepare development plans for the mechanical team.
- Promote a culture of continuous improvement, safety, and technical excellence.
Project Coordination
- Coordinate installation schedules with Operations, Sales, Warehouse, and Project Management teams.
- Ensure materials, tools, and equipment are available before site visits.
- Monitor project timelines and ensure installations are completed within schedule.
- Provide regular updates to management regarding project progress and technical challenges.
Quality & Safety
- Ensure all installation work meets company quality standards.
- Conduct site inspections and quality audits.
- Enforce health and safety regulations on customer sites.
- Ensure proper use and maintenance of tools, equipment, and company vehicles.
Reporting & Documentation
- Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly installation reports.
- Maintain accurate records of completed installations, maintenance activities, and customer approvals.
- Report technical issues, corrective actions, and project status to management.
- Maintain documentation of team performance and productivity.
Requirements
- Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, HVAC, or a related technical field.
- 5+ years of HVAC installation and maintenance experience.
- 2+ years of experience leading or supervising HVAC technicians or installation teams.
- Strong knowledge of HVAC systems, ductwork, ventilation, airflow balancing, AHUs, FCUs, and mechanical installations.
- Ability to read and interpret HVAC drawings, mechanical layouts, and technical documentation.
- Experience in installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and commissioning of HVAC systems.
- Strong leadership, coaching, and team development skills.
- Excellent planning, organizational, and problem-solving abilities.
- Experience coordinating multiple installation projects simultaneously.
- Strong communication and customer service skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and reporting.
- Valid UAE driving license is required .
