Responsibilities:
- Manage the preparation of commercial proposals, defining scope, budgets, schedules, and resource plans.
- Serve as the primary client interface, ensuring clear communication, swift issue resolution, and protection of client interests.
- Coordinate with technical and operations teams to schedule and configure equipment for 2D and 3D model tests.
- Oversee test execution, track progress against milestones and budgets, and implement corrective actions as needed.
- Review and approve instrumentation layouts, data acquisition protocols, and analysis methodologies.
- Analyze test data to identify anomalies, verify integrity, and confirm reproducibility.
- Authorize draft and final project reports, certifying that conclusions are fully supported by the data.
- Enforce health, safety, and quality assurance procedures across all testing activities.
- Line-manage and mentor senior and graduate engineers, driving continuous improvement and innovation.
- Represent NMDC at conferences and workshops, presenting findings and sharing best practices.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Master's Degree in Civil, Coastal, or Maritime Engineering, Physics, or Oceanography is required, or a Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or an equivalent qualification.
- Minimum of 12 years experience in Engineering and Design within related industries, including at least 5 years in a Physical Modelling Hydraulic Laboratory.
