Hydrology & Stormwater Engineer

Bilfinger Tebodin is looking for a Hydrology & Stormwater Engineer with 5+ years of experience in hydrology, hydraulics, flood risk assessment, and stormwater infrastructure design within consultancy firms.

Key Responsibilities:

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related discipline with a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience.

• Strong experience in hydrology and hydraulic studies, including rainfall-runoff analysis, watershed delineation, flood risk assessment, and drainage master planning.

• Experience in stormwater network design, hydraulic modelling, spread calculations, and preparation of technical reports using SewerGEMS,Infoworks ICM, HEC-HMS, HEC-RAS, HY-8, GIS, and other relevant software.

• Experience in wadi and open channel design, flood mitigation schemes, culvert sizing, detention/retention systems, and erosion/scour assessments.

• Ability to undertake catchment analysis, runoff calculations, IDF analysis, and development of stormwater management strategies.

• Experience in reviewing and interpreting topographic surveys, DEMs, LiDAR data, and hydrological datasets.

• Preparation of hydraulic profiles, flood mapping, and design documentation in accordance with local and international standards.

• Develop engineering solutions and design alternatives to optimize stormwater and flood protection systems.

• Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams including roads, utilities, geotechnical and structural disciplines.

• Monitor and review engineering deliverables to ensure compliance with project requirements, authority regulations, and quality standards.

• Familiarity with UAE authority requirements, regulations, and design standards related to stormwater, flood management, and wet utility infrastructure.

• Experience in major infrastructure, flood protection, and stormwater management projects within the UAE is highly preferred.
