The
ICT Inspector will be responsible for on-site inspection and quality assurance of ICT systems during construction for property and building projects. This role ensures that all ICT installations comply with approved designs, specifications, and international standards, supporting smart building functionality and integrated technology systems.
Responsibilities
- Conduct daily inspections of ICT and ELV installations, including structured cabling, racks, termination panels, and active/passive components.
- Verify compliance with approved shop drawings, material submittals, and method statements.
- Ensure proper installation of systems such as CCTV, access control, public address, fire alarm, and building management interfaces.
- Monitor workmanship and adherence to safety and quality standards.
- Witness and document testing and commissioning activities for ICT systems.
- Prepare detailed inspection reports, highlight non-conformances, and recommend corrective actions.
- Liaise with contractors, consultants, and project teams to resolve site issues promptly.
- Maintain accurate records of inspections, approvals, and compliance checks.
Qualifications
- Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Electrical/Communications Engineering or related field.
- Minimum 10 years of experience in ICT/ELV systems inspection within large-scale property or building projects.
- Strong knowledge of structured cabling, networking, and integrated systems.
- Familiarity with international ICT standards and local regulations.
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to enforce quality standards.
