Import Export Supervisor

WE ARE HIRING – IMPORT & EXPORT OPERATIONS SUPERVISOR

New Portex Logistics Co. is looking for an experienced and motivated Import & Export Operations Supervisor to join our growing team in Nasr City, Cairo.

Location: Nasr City, Cairo

Employment: Full-time / On-site

Key Responsibilities:

• Supervise and manage import and export shipments from A to Z.
• Coordinate with customers, shipping lines, overseas agents, customs brokers, transporters, and other service providers.
• Handle FCL, LCL, and breakbulk shipments and ensure smooth operational execution.
• Follow up on bookings, vessel schedules, ETD/ETA, cargo readiness, loading, discharge, customs clearance, and delivery.
• Review and coordinate shipping documents including B/L, HBL, MBL, SI, VGM, invoices, packing lists, and certificates of origin.
• Ensure all documentation is accurate and submitted within required deadlines.
• Monitor shipments and provide timely updates to customers and overseas agents.
• Handle operational issues, delays, documentation discrepancies, and customer requirements.
• Supervise the operations team and ensure proper follow-up on all shipments.
• Coordinate with overseas agents and international partners to ensure smooth import/export operations.
• Maintain strong relationships with carriers, agents, customers, and service providers.
• Ensure compliance with company procedures and applicable customs/shipping regulations.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, Business Administration, Commerce, or a related field.
• Minimum 3–5 years of experience in freight forwarding / shipping operations.
• Strong practical knowledge of both import and export operations.
• Good knowledge of FCL, LCL, Breakbulk, Incoterms, shipping documentation, and customs procedures.
• Experience dealing with shipping lines, overseas agents, customers, and transport companies.
• Strong leadership, communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent follow-up and organizational abilities.
• Very good command of English, written and spoken.
• Good knowledge of MS Office, especially Excel and Outlook.
• Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple shipments simultaneously.
