Job Description

The IMS Auditor is responsible for planning, conducting, reporting, and following up on internal audits of the Integrated Management System (IMS) to ensure compliance with ISO standards, company policies, contractual requirements, and regulatory obligations. The role supports continual improvement initiatives across Quality, Health & Safety, Environmental, and operational management systems.

Key Responsibilities

Audit Management

  • Plan, schedule, and conduct internal audits in accordance with the approved audit program.
  • Evaluate compliance with IMS requirements, company procedures, client specifications, and applicable regulations.
  • Perform process-based audits across departments, projects, and support functions.
  • Prepare audit checklists, audit reports, and non-conformance reports (NCRs).
  • Verify the effectiveness of corrective and preventive actions implemented by departments.

IMS Compliance & Monitoring

  • Monitor adherence to ISO management systems standards, including:
  • ISO 9001 – Quality Management System
  • ISO 14001 – Environmental Management System
  • ISO 45001 – Occupational Health & Safety Management System
  • Ensure compliance with organizational policies and procedures.
  • Support external certification audits and surveillance audits.

Reporting & Documentation

  • Maintain audit records and documentation in accordance with IMS requirements.
  • Analyze audit findings and identify recurring issues and improvement opportunities.
  • Prepare periodic audit summaries and management reports.
  • Track audit actions and ensure timely closure of observations and non-conformities.

Continuous Improvement

  • Support the implementation of continual improvement initiatives.
  • Assist departments in identifying process inefficiencies and recommending improvements.
  • Participate in root cause analysis and corrective action reviews.
  • Promote awareness of IMS requirements throughout the organization.

Training & Awareness

  • Provide guidance regarding IMS requirements and audit findings.
  • Conduct awareness sessions on quality, health, safety, and environmental management systems.
  • Support competency development related to IMS compliance.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Quality Management, Business Administration, or related field.
  • Lead Auditor or Internal Auditor certification in ISO 9001.
  • Certifications in ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 auditing are preferred.
  • Additional certifications in quality management or HSE are an advantage.

Experience

  • Minimum 5–8 years of experience in Quality Assurance, IMS, or auditing roles.
  • Experience within EPC, construction, infrastructure, oil & gas, or industrial projects is preferred.
  • Proven experience in conducting internal and external management system audits.
  • Familiarity with certification body audits and compliance requirements.
