Job Overview:
The Inbound Supervisor oversees and manages the inbound operations of vehicles arriving from ports or suppliers to the stockyard. The role ensures vehicles are received, inspected, and recorded accurately and efficiently, with all necessary system and documentation updates completed. This position is also responsible for managing claims, tracking inbound KPIs, and enforcing safety protocols while coordinating closely with procurement, inventory, and transportation teams.
Job Responsibilities:
Inbound Process Management
- Supervise receiving activities for all incoming vehicles (local & new shipments).
- Ensure accurate checking, receiving, and documentation of vehicles (chassis number, model, condition, damage, and missing items) upon arrival.
- Ensure timely unloading, verification, system updates, and documentation of inbound inspection.
- Coordinate with transport teams to schedule deliveries.
- Managing all claim types for the vehicles received at the stockyard and update stakeholders.
- Track and report KPIs such as lead time for inbound inspection, and vehicles transfers to storage location performance.
System & Documentation Accuracy
- Ensure GRNs (Goods Received Notes) are entered accurately in YMS.
- Match POs, delivery notes, and invoices with received items.
- Escalate any quantity or quality mismatches to concerned departments.
Team Supervision & Training
- Lead and assign tasks to inbound staff and drivers.
- Monitor staff productivity, provide feedback, and identify training needs.
- Ensure team adherence to SOPs and safety protocols.
Warehouse Coordination & Put-Away
- Oversee proper labeling, segregation, and storage of vehicles post-verification.
- Coordinate with Inventory Control for bin allocation and space planning.
- Monitor put-away time and warehouse zone efficiency.
Safety & Compliance
- Enforce HSE policies during unloading, vehicles handling, and put-away.
- Conduct daily toolbox talks and weekly safety briefings.
- Report and investigate any safety incidents or near misses.
Job Requirements:
- Diploma or bachelors in automotive, Logistics, or related field
- 2-4 years&apos experience in Inbound/Yard Operations
- Experience in Vehicle Inspection
- Tech Proficiency YMS, MS Excel, ERP Systems
