Role Overview:
We are looking for an experienced Informatica IDMC Cloud Data Quality & Profiling Consultant to design, implement, and optimize data quality solutions within our cloud data platform.
The ideal candidate will combine a deep understanding of data management principles with hands-on expertise in Informatica's Intelligent Data Management Cloud (IDMC), particularly Cloud Data Quality (CDQ) and Data Profiling capabilities.
You will play a key role in establishing enterprise data quality frameworks, implementing validation and cleansing rules, and enabling trustworthy, accurate, and governed data across systems and business domains.
Key Responsibilities:
Data Quality Implementation:
- Design and implement data quality rules, scorecards, and metrics using Informatica Cloud Data Quality (CDQ).
- Perform data profiling, anomaly detection, and data validation across cloud and on-premises sources.
- Identify and document data issues, root causes, and remediation actions.
- Configure data standardization, enrichment, and cleansing workflows.
- Build reusable data quality templates and automation frameworks aligned with enterprise data standards.
Data Integration & Governance Alignment:
- Integrate CDQ workflows with other IDMC components such as Data Integration, Catalog, and Governance.
- Collaborate with data stewards and governance teams to define quality thresholds and business rules.
- Contribute to enterprise-wide Data Quality Frameworks and governance policies.
- Support metadata-driven quality assessments leveraging IDMC's data catalog and lineage features.
Monitoring & Reporting:
- Define and publish data quality KPIs and trend reports for stakeholders.
- Enable continuous monitoring of data health through dashboards and alerts.
- Work with engineering teams to automate error handling and issue escalation processes.
Platform Configuration & Support:
- Manage Secure Agents, runtime environments, and connections for CDQ and profiling.
- Ensure platform performance, access control, and audit compliance.
- Troubleshoot job failures, profiling errors, and integration issues.
- Work with Informatica Support for issue resolution, upgrades, and enhancements.
Required Skills and Experience:
- 5+ years of experience in data quality, data management, or ETL development.
- 2+ years of hands-on experience with Informatica Cloud Data Quality (CDQ) or IDMC Data Quality & Profiling.
- Strong expertise in data profiling, validation, cleansing, and enrichment techniques.
- Proficiency with SQL and familiarity with relational and cloud data stores (Azure, AWS, Snowflake, Databricks, etc.).
- Understanding of data governance concepts, data lineage, and metadata management.
- Experience in developing data quality scorecards, reports, and dashboards.
- Familiarity with Secure Agent administration, connectivity setup, and data service management.
- Solid analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to data accuracy and completeness.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field.
- Informatica Certified Professional Cloud Data Quality Specialist or equivalent.
- Experience with on-premise Informatica Data Quality (IDQ) transitioning to IDMC Cloud.
- Knowledge of Python or REST APIs for automation and orchestration.
- Familiarity with data governance tools (Informatica CDGC, Collibra, or Azure Purview).
- Understanding of data privacy and compliance standards (GDPR, HIPAA, ISO 27001).
