Job Summary
The IT Business Analyst IT/OT is responsible for analyzing business and operational requirements, translating them into system specifications, and supporting the development, testing, deployment, and maintenance of IT/OT solutions within plant and industrial environments. The role supports Honeywell and Baker Hughes plant operation systems, ensuring high system availability, operational efficiency, and end-user satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities
Business Analysis & Requirement Management
- Consult with end users to identify, analyze, and document business and system requirements.
- Translate business needs into functional specifications, system designs, and process flows.
- Convert requirements into logical flowcharts illustrating system behavior and outputs.
IT/OT Systems Support (Plant Operations)
- Support and maintain Honeywell applications including:
- PIMS (Plant Information Management System)
- PHD (Process Historian Database)
- UPS (Uniformance Process Studio)
- PCT (PHD Configuration Tool)
- AFM (Advanced Formula Manager)
- AMS (Alarm Management System)
- Operations Monitoring and Production Balance systems
- Support Baker Hughes applications related to plant operations.
- Ensure system availability with minimal downtime.
- Develop operational and management reports and identify improvement opportunities.
- Coordinate with vendors, automation teams, plant productivity teams, and IT operations.
Application Development & Enhancement
- Design, develop, and modify applications using:
- HTML
- JavaScript
- .NET technologies (web applications, web services, Windows-based applications)
- Perform system enhancements and modifications based on business needs.
- Participate in IT maintenance and improvement projects.
Testing, Deployment & Documentation
- Perform unit testing and regression testing to ensure systems meet business requirements.
- Coordinate and support User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and obtain business sign-offs.
- Develop and maintain:
- Installation guidelines
- Testing procedures
- Operating manuals and user documentation
Systems Maintenance & Issue Resolution
- Analyze system issues, identify root causes, and implement corrective actions.
- Revise existing programs to improve efficiency and meet new business requirements.
- Coordinate patch management for IT business solution systems.
- Act as a key point of contact for resolving plant IT system issues.
Governance & Compliance
- Comply with organizational IT policies, procedures, and methodologies.
- Maintain awareness of:

Qualifications & Experience
Educational Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field
- Professional IT certifications (preferred)
Experience Requirements
- 5+ years of relevant experience in IT plant operations systems
- 35 years of hands-on .NET development experience
- Proven experience supporting Baker Hughes systems for plant operations
- Experience working in industrial, manufacturing, or process environments
Preferred Skills
- Strong understanding of IT/OT integration
- Experience working with industrial automation systems
- Familiarity with patch management and system lifecycle management
- Vendor coordination and multi-stakeholder collaboration
