Job Title: IT Officer

About the Role
Aon is seeking an IT Officer to support our office in Al Khobar, Saudi Arabia. This role is designed for a fresh graduate or early-career professional (0-2 years) with a strong interest in corporate IT support and services.
The IT Officer will work closely with the local office and regional IT teams to provide technical support, maintain IT systems, and ensure a reliable and secure technology environment for colleagues and clients. A self-starter with strong communication skills.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide first-line technical support for end users in the Al Khobar office (hardware, software, network, and peripherals).
- Install, configure, and maintain desktops, laptops, printers, mobile devices, and related equipment in line with Aon standards and procedures.
- Support Microsoft Office applications (e.g., Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams) and Aon's internal IT systems and tools.
- Monitor and respond to IT service requests and incidents in the ticketing system within agreed service levels.
- Assist with user account administration (creation, modification, deactivation) and access rights in accordance with Aon security and compliance policies.
- Perform routine maintenance, updates, and patching on workstations and other office equipment as directed.
- Support meeting room technology (video conferencing, audio/visual equipment) and remote/hybrid working setups.
- Maintain accurate records of IT assets, inventory, and software licenses used in the office.
- Escalate complex technical issues to regional or global IT teams, following defined escalation procedures.
- Assist with implementation of local and regional IT initiatives, upgrades, and projects.
- Document standard procedures and provide basic user guidance and training where needed.
- Ensure adherence to all Aon IT policies, security standards, and compliance requirements.
Required Skills and Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a closely related field.
- 0–2 years of relevant experience; internships, co‑op placements, or part‑time technical support roles are an advantage.
Solid basic understanding of:
- Microsoft Windows operating systems
- Microsoft Office applications (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams)
- PC hardware, peripherals, printers, and basic networking concepts
- Strong attention to detail in following procedures, documenting work, and maintaining accurate records.
- Good analytical and problem‑solving skills with a customer‑service mindset.
- Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks in a fast‑paced office environment.
Language Requirements
- Fluent English (written, spoken, and reading) is required.
- Arabic language skills are preferred and will be considered an advantage.
