Role Overview :

The IT Project Manager will be responsible for managing and delivering banking technology projects with a strong

focus on Cards and Payments. The role requires proven experience across debit, credit and prepaid card

ecosystems, payment processing, digital payment technologies, tokenization, wallets, POS/softPOS and card

transaction processing. The successful candidate will coordinate business, technology, vendors and delivery

teams to ensure projects are delivered within agreed scope, timelines, quality and governance standards.

Banking experience is mandatory, especially within Cards and Payments.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end delivery of Cards and Payments technology projects from initiation through implementation and

closure.

• Manage project scope, schedule, budget, risks, issues, dependencies, resources, milestones and stakeholder

communications.

• Coordinate with business teams, application teams, infrastructure teams, information security, operations, vendors

and payment ecosystem partners.

• Drive requirements gathering, solution discussions, project planning, testing, implementation, production rollout and

post-implementation activities.

• Manage projects involving payment processing and credit/debit/prepaid card processing environments.

• Lead initiatives involving card-present and contactless card transactions, including adoption of modern digital

payment technologies.

• Manage projects related to payment tokenization, card token services and secure digital payment credentials.

• Coordinate digital wallet projects and integrations involving card provisioning, tokenized credentials and

wallet-based payments.

• Manage POS terminal and softPOS projects, including deployment, integration, certification, testing and operational

readiness.

• Ensure project teams understand payment transaction flows, including authorization, clearing, settlement and

reconciliation.

• Manage integration dependencies across card schemes, processors, issuers, acquirers, payment gateways, wallets

and other third-party platforms.

• Ensure appropriate system integration testing, UAT, certification, security validation and production readiness

before go-live.

• Prepare project status reports, steering committee updates, RAID logs, action trackers and management

dashboards.

• Identify delivery risks and proactively drive mitigation and resolution of project issues.

• Manage project vendors and third-party partners, ensuring delivery against agreed timelines, scope and quality

expectations.

• Coordinate change requests, impact assessments and approvals throughout the project lifecycle.

• Ensure adherence to banking technology governance, information security, change management and project

delivery standards.

• Lead go-live planning, cutover activities, implementation coordination and post-production stabilization.
