The Manager - IT Strategy & Planning is responsible for defining, executing, and monitoring the organization's IT and digital transformation strategy. The role ensures that technology initiatives are fully aligned with business objectives, regulatory requirements, and long-term growth plans, while driving innovation, change management, and enterprise-wide transformation.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop, promote, and maintain the IT and digital transformation strategy and roadmap aligned with business objectives.
  • Define and lead the digital transformation agenda, including cloud adoption, AI integration, and fintech collaboration.
  • Lead change management initiatives in response to shifts in strategic direction, in coordination with relevant internal functions.
  • Oversee the IT project and investment portfolio, ensuring alignment with strategic goals and value realization.
  • Conduct ongoing market and technology trend analysis to inform IT and digital strategy.
  • Collaborate with business units to identify technology needs, innovation opportunities, and process improvements.
  • Monitor, measure, and report on the performance of IT strategy initiatives.
  • Identify risks related to strategy execution and ensure timely mitigation actions.
  • Ensure IT and digital objectives remain aligned with overall organizational goals and regulatory expectations.

Required Skills & Abilities

  • Strong expertise in IT governance and service management frameworks (COBIT, ITIL).
  • Deep understanding of enterprise architecture, cloud computing strategies, and digital platforms.
  • Knowledge of control practices and regulatory compliance (e.g., GDPR, PCI DSS).
  • Experience with project management methodologies (Agile, Scrum, Waterfall).
  • Solid understanding of banking systems, fintech ecosystems, and digital transformation technologies.
  • Relevant certifications such as PMP, ITIL, TOGAF, AgilePM, SAFe, or equivalent.
  • Strong leadership skills with a hands-on, lead-from-the-front approach.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to engage senior executives and stakeholders.
  • Strategic thinker with strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
  • High adaptability to evolving business priorities and technology landscapes.
  • Proven ability to work collaboratively across teams and functions.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Certifications (Preferred): CGEIT, PMP, AgilePM, SAFe, ITIL, TOGAF.
  • Experience: Minimum 8+ years in IT strategy, digital transformation, project management, and businessIT alignment, preferably within banking or financial services.
