The Maadi British International School (MBIS) in Cairo is seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated IT Support Specialist, to join our vibrant and diverse community. The Position:

As an IT Support Specialist at MBIS, you will be responsible for supporting the MBIS students, staff and parents and ensure the smooth running of MBIS computer systems to support the school mission statement and aims.

Duties:

• Ensure the installation, maintenance and first line repairs of IT hardware and networks.
• Escalate complex issues to the IT Manager or external support teams.
• Ensure prompt resolution and track of IT issues reported through the ticketing systems.
• Administer mobile device management (MDM) systems (Jamf, Apple School Manager) and set up and distribute apps via MDM on school-owned iPads.
• Ensure that health and safety standards relating to IT are maintained and adhered to throughout the school.
• Provide practical support to staff, students and parents.
• Ensure the development of the ICT service by contributing to the ICT Development plan.
• Monitor all school systems and network performance daily and perform a weekly report to the IT Manager.
• Maintain IT school inventory by monitoring, checking, adding and removing items into it.
• Perform and monitor daily systems backups and recovery procedures and participate in disaster recovery plan.
• To attend relevant meetings and training sessions.
• Coordination, participation in and follow- up of projects.
• Assist in developing and enforcing IT policies and procedures.

Requirements:

• 3 years minimum of working experience in a similar position at an educational environment.
• Very good command of English and Arabic languages are required.
• Excellent organisational, communication and time-management skills.
• Basic knowledge with working with Firewalls, Switches, system administration and smart boards.
