Position: ICT Support Specialist
Location: Jeddah
Contract Duration: 1 March 2026 30 May 2026 (3 months)

Overview
The ICT Support Specialist will be responsible for delivering technical support services across all official competition and non-competition venues during a major international sporting tournament hosted in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
The role ensures the smooth operation of IT systems, end-user devices, venue infrastructure, and tournament technology platforms in a high-pressure, fast-paced event environment.
This position requires strong troubleshooting skills, excellent communication, and the ability to work extended hours during match days and critical operational periods.
Key Responsibilities
1. End-User & Helpdesk Support
- Provide Level 1 and Level 2 IT support to staff, volunteers, contractors, and stakeholders.
- Install, configure, and troubleshoot desktops, laptops, printers, mobile devices, and peripherals.
- Support Microsoft 365, email services, and collaboration tools.
- Manage user accounts, password resets, and access permissions (Active Directory).
2. Venue ICT Operations
- Support ICT setup and operations at stadiums, training sites, media centers, accreditation centers, and tournament offices.
- Assist in deployment of temporary ICT infrastructure.
- Ensure reliable LAN/WAN/Wi-Fi connectivity.
- Provide rapid incident response during match operations.
3. Systems & Infrastructure Support
- Support Windows and Linux environments.
- Assist with network troubleshooting (VLAN, IP addressing, DHCP).
- Monitor systems performance and escalate critical issues.
- Support IP telephony and communication systems.
4. Tournament Systems Support
- Provide first-line support for tournament-related systems including:
- Accreditation systems
- Workforce management systems
- Ticketing platforms
- Competition management systems
- Coordinate with vendors and senior ICT engineers when required.
5. Asset & Inventory Management
- Assist in ICT equipment staging, deployment, and recovery.
- Maintain accurate asset tracking documentation.
- Support warehouse operations related to ICT equipment distribution.
6. Event Readiness & Testing
- Participate in venue readiness tests and technical rehearsals.
- Support overlay installation and dismantling phases.
- Ensure compliance with ICT operational procedures and security standards.
Qualifications & Experience
Education
- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field, OR
- Relevant technical certifications (CompTIA A+, Network+, Microsoft, Cisco, ITIL).
Experience
- Minimum 35 years of IT support experience.
- Experience in large-scale projects, events, or enterprise environments preferred.
- Hands-on experience with:
- Active Directory
- Microsoft 365
- Windows OS support
- Network troubleshooting
- IT service management/ticketing systems
