Infrastructure Specialist (Charging & Staging)

Department: Operations

Location: Abu Dhabi, UAE

Reporting To: Operations Manager

Job Summary

The Infrastructure Specialist (Charging & Staging) is responsible for planning, deploying, operating, and maintaining charging stations and staging areas that support the company's autonomous delivery fleet. The role ensures infrastructure is safe, compliant, reliable, and fully operational to support uninterrupted fleet operations across Abu Dhabi.

Key Responsibilities

  • Identify, assess, and recommend suitable locations for charging stations and staging facilities.
  • Coordinate site approvals, permits, and utility requirements with landlords, authorities, and service providers.
  • Manage infrastructure construction, installation, commissioning, and handover activities.
  • Supervise contractors, vendors, and suppliers to ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to quality standards.
  • Conduct regular inspections of charging and staging sites and coordinate preventive and corrective maintenance.
  • Monitor charging equipment performance, site uptime, and infrastructure reliability.
  • Maintain records of maintenance activities, equipment inventory, and vendor services.
  • Ensure compliance with health, safety, electrical, and municipal regulations.
  • Prepare operational and project progress reports for management.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Facilities Management, or a related field.
  • 2–5 years of experience in infrastructure, facilities management, EV charging, construction, or project coordination.
  • Experience with electrical systems, EV charging equipment, or construction projects is preferred.
  • Fluent in English and Arabic (written and spoken).

Requirements

  • Strong project coordination and vendor management skills.
  • Good understanding of electrical infrastructure and construction processes.
  • Ability to conduct frequent site visits across Abu Dhabi.
  • Proficiency in MS Office; knowledge of maintenance or project tracking systems is an advantage.
  • Valid UAE driving license and own vehicle are mandatory.
  • Strong organizational, problem-solving, and communication skills.
