Job Summary:
The Infrastructure Specialist – Hardware Presales is responsible for supporting the sales team by providing technical expertise in infrastructure and hardware solutions. The role involves understanding customer requirements, designing suitable IT infrastructure solutions, and presenting technical proposals to clients.
Responsibilities:
- Work closely with the sales team to understand customer needs and propose suitable hardware and infrastructure solutions.
- Design and recommend servers, storage, networking, and data center infrastructure based on client requirements.
- Prepare technical proposals, bill of quantities (BOQ), and solution documentation.
- Deliver technical presentations and product demonstrations to customers.
- Participate in client meetings to explain technical solutions and answer technical inquiries.
- Coordinate with vendors and distributors to obtain quotations and technical information.
- Ensure proposed solutions are aligned with customer requirements, budget, and technical standards.
- Support the sales team during RFPs, RFQs, and tenders.
- Stay updated with the latest infrastructure technologies and hardware products.
- Provide technical guidance during the pre-sales cycle until project handover to the delivery team.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- 2–5 years of experience in IT infrastructure or hardware presales.
- Strong knowledge of servers, storage, networking, and data center technologies.
- Experience with major hardware vendors (such as Dell, HPE, Cisco, Lenovo, etc.) is preferred.
- Good understanding of virtualization and enterprise infrastructure solutions.
- Strong communication and presentation skills.
- Ability to work closely with both technical teams and sales team
