Inpatient Manager

Core Responsibilities:-

• Develop and activate Short & long-term plans for providing inpatient medical services.
• Implement daily medical care delivery plans in accordance with hospital standards.
• Prepare and monitor monthly registrars schedules and ensure compliance.
• Evaluate cases referred to the hospital and ensure proper admission procedures.
• Assess discharge requests for patient safety and compliance with the law.
• Supervise the use of hospital coding systems (e.g., code blue) and ensure proper documentation.
• Review and ensure implementation of Clinical Pharmacy recommendations.
• Report long-stay cases, identify root causes, and propose resolutions to the Medical Director.
• Ensure accurate and complete documentation of patient care in medical Records.
• Oversee daily consultant ward rounds to ensure patient review, plan of care updates, and adherence to clinical protocols.
• Participate in DAMA monitoring and retention process.
• Responsible for timely response to OVRs and implementation of corrective actions.
• Prepare the Inpatient Department Manual in collaboration with the Quality Department.
• Review mortality cases and submit reports to the Medical Director and Quality Department.
• Organize monthly departmental meetings with registrars to review the issues and operational incidents and follow up on corrective action plans.
• Support staff development, training, and adherence to policies and procedures.
• Collaborate with the Quality Department to maintain standards in documentation and patient care.
• Investigate complaints from patients or families, implement corrective measures, and report to the Medical Director.
• Implement and monitor related quality policies within the inpatient department.
• Submit daily reports to the Medical Director on violations, complaints, or non-compliance, with corrective actions

Requirements:-

• Master's degree in clinical medicine.
• 5 years experience in medical management.
• Hospital Management educational degree or MBA degree is preferred.
