Job Overview:
The On-Site Machining Department Head will oversee all operationsand activities within the on-site machining department. This role is responsible formanaging a team of technicians and engineers, ensuring the successful execution ofon-site machining projects, maintaining high standards of quality and safety, anddriving continuous improvement initiatives. The ideal candidate will have extensiveexperience in machining, strong leadership skills, and a deep understanding of theindustry'sbestpractices.
KeyResponsibilities:
1. LeadershipandManagement:
o Leadandmentorateamofon-sitemachinists,technicians,andengineers.
o Conductregularperformancereviewsandprovidefeedbackanddevelopment plans.
o Fosteracultureofsafety,quality,andcontinuousimprovementwithinthedepartment.
2. ProjectManagement:
o Overseetheplanning,scheduling,andexecutionofon-sitemachiningprojects.
o Ensureprojectsarecompletedontime,withinscope,andbudget.
o Coordinatewithclientsandotherdepartmentstomeetprojectrequirementsandaddressanyissues.
3. TechnicalExpertise:
o Providetechnicalguidanceandsupporttotheon-sitemachiningteam.
o Stayupdatedwiththelatestadvancements inmachiningtechnologyandmethodologies.
o Ensurethepropermaintenanceandcalibrationofallmachiningequipment.
4. QualityAssurance:
o Implementandenforcequalitycontrolstandardsandprocedures.
o Conductregularinspectionsandauditsofon-sitemachiningactivities.
o Addressanyqualityissuespromptlyandimplementcorrectiveactions.
5. SafetyCompliance:
o Ensurealloperationscomplywithcompanysafetypoliciesandindustryregulations.
o Conductsafetytrainingsessionsandemergencyresponsedrills.
o Investigateandreportanysafetyincidentsornearmisses.
6. ClientRelations:
o Buildandmaintainstrongrelationshipswithclients.
o Provideregularupdatesandreportstoclientsonprojectstatus.
o Addressanyclientconcernsorfeedbackpromptlyandprofessionally.
7. BudgetingandResourceManagement:
o Developandmanagethedepartmentalbudget.
o Optimizetheuseofresourcestoensurecost-effectiveness.
o Monitorandcontroldepartmentalexpenses.
8. ContinuousImprovement:
o Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement changes.

Qualifications:
· Bachelor'sdegreeinMechanicalEngineering,IndustrialEngineering,orarelatedfield.
· Minimumof3-5yearsofexperienceinmachining,withatleast3-5yearsinaleadershiprole.
· Strong knowledge of machining techniques, equipment, and industrystandards.
· Provenprojectmanagementskillswithexperienceinleadingcomplexprojects.
· Excellentleadership,communication,andinterpersonalskills.
· Strongproblem-solvingabilitiesandattentiontodetail.
· Proficiencyinusingmachiningsoftwareandtools.
· Understandingofsafetyregulationsandqualitycontrolstandards.
