Job Purpose
The Inspector performs routine field inspections, basic compliance checks, and monitoring activities across Dubai's media sector. The role focuses on executing low‑complexity inspections, collecting evidence, documenting preliminary findings, and supporting enforcement follow‑up under the guidance of senior staff. KeyAccountabilities
Routine Field Inspections
- Conduct scheduled routine inspections using approved checklists.
- Verify visible compliance with permits, licenses, and display standards.
- Identify basic non-compliance and escalate unclear matters to senior staff.
- Support surprise or complaint-based inspections when instructed.
Evidence Collection & Documentation
- Collect photos, permits, and observations during site visits.
- Prepare draft inspection notes and first-level findings.
- Upload evidence and documentation into approved systems.
- Escalate disputed or unclear findings promptly.
Enforcement Support
- Assist senior staff in investigations, re-inspections, and follow-up visits.
- Deliver approved notices or communications when instructed.
- Support campaigns targeting unauthorized advertising or repeated violations.
Operational Readiness
- Ensure readiness of equipment, devices, and forms for daily deployment.
- Follow assigned routes and instructions from Senior Inspectors or Supervisors.
- Report safety concerns or operational issues immediately.
Learning & Conduct
- Learn inspection methods, regulations, and enforcement procedures.
- Apply feedback to improve inspection quality.
- Demonstrate professionalism, punctuality, and integrity.

Key Interactions & Nature of Interaction
Internal:
- Report regularly to the Section Head Compliance or delegated Senior Inspector regarding completed inspections, assigned tasks, progress, and findings.
- Work closely with Senior Inspector and Senior Specialist Compliance on inspections, investigations, and enforcement support activities.
- Coordinate with Legal Oversight where documentation or records are requested.
- Collaborate with internal departments where permit or license verification is required. External:
- Communicate professionally with regulated entities regarding document requests, meeting schedules, or routine follow-up matters.
- Support coordination with municipalities, police, free zones, or other authorities during joint activities where required.

Qualifications
ExperienceRequired
Functional Experience
- No prior experience required; fresh graduates and entry-level candidates are welcome to apply.
- 0–2 years of experience in compliance, investigations, governance, enforcement, or risk management, or related roles is advantageous. Internship or trainee experience in government, legal, regulatory, or corporate environments preferred.
- Demonstrated ability to manage records, documentation, or administrative workflows preferred.
- Experience working in outdoor, operational, site-based, or customer-facing environments is beneficial.
- Willingness to learn regulatory procedures, field inspection methods, and enforcement protocols is essential.
Leadership/Supervisory
EducationandQualificationRequired
- High School Diploma required.
- Diploma in Law, Business Administration, Public Administration, Media Regulation, or related field is advantageous.
- Relevant training in compliance, investigations, governance, enforcement, or risk management is advantageous.
- Must obtain judicial enforcement powers ( القضائية الضبطية ) through Dubai Media Council upon appointment or as required.
- Existing judicial enforcement authority from another UAE entity or jurisdiction is advantageous.
