Job Description
Strategy
- Support the department's data-driven enforcement goals by documenting, updating, and verifying inspection data using smart violation systems and inspection dashboards.
Operations
- Execute scheduled field inspections for utility works approved via the E-NOC system, verify initiation and completion, and report defects with photographic evidence and snag lists.
- Provide ground-level inputs for strategic improvement initiatives by analyzing recurring violations, delays in rectifications, and quality deviations.
- Monitor compliance with temporary permits, diversions, vehicle accesses, and illegal occupations by updating the system with field observations and issuing fines or warnings via sTafteesh or related platforms.
- Inspect damaged infrastructure elements such as signs, signals, pavements, markings, or landscaping and report issues in a standardized defect format for rectification follow-up.
- Respond to emergencies (e.g., accidents, abandoned vehicles, road hazards) reported via the Call Center or supervisor. Coordinate with police, towing, and maintenance authorities and update systems upon resolution.
- Conduct reactive inspections related to complaints or public requests and submit inspection findings with recommended actions; resolve minor on-site issues by coordinating directly with involved parties.
- Carry out inspections of illegal parking of heavy vehicles and coordinate necessary enforcement (e.g., locking, towing) in line with regulations.
- Prepare detailed daily, weekly, and monthly inspection reports capturing site conditions, corrective actions, and percentage completion of inspected works.
Product/Process Improvement
- Ensure all field data is digitized and updated in inspection and violation-tracking systems to improve data reliability and decision-making.
- Recommend improvements to inspection workflows and defect resolution practices based on recurring field observations and stakeholder feedback.
Physical Working Conditions
- Field-intensive role requiring extensive on-ground inspections in varying weather conditions across the Emirate of Dubai, including vital areas, simple development zones, and free zones.
- Must be on-call during emergencies and have proficiency in using digital inspection tools and mobile systems
Qualifications
Job Qualifications & Requirements
Education: Diploma in Civil Engineering, Urban Planning
Experience: 4+ years of experience in related field
