Job Summary
The QC Piping Inspector is responsible for inspecting and verifying piping fabrication, installation, welding, and testing activities to ensure compliance with project specifications, industry codes, and client requirements.

Roles & Responsibilities
- Conduct inspections for piping fabrication, fit-up, alignment, and installation.
- Review and verify isometric drawings, P&IDs, material specifications, and ITPs.
- Inspect weld joints at all stages fit-up, root, hot pass, and final welding.
- Ensure traceability and compliance of piping materials, consumables, and MTCs.
- Monitor spool fabrication, pipe supports, valves, fittings, and pre-assembly.
- Coordinate NDT activities (RT, UT, MT, PT) and evaluate test reports.
- Witness hydrotests, pneumatic tests, leak tests, and flushing/blowing procedures.
- Prepare inspection reports, punch lists, and follow up on corrective actions.
- Ensure job execution follows project standards, ASME codes, and approved procedures.
- Liaise with clients, consultants, and third-party inspectors at all inspection stages.
- Maintain proper documentation and QA/QC records throughout the project.
- Ensure safety and quality standards are maintained on site.
Mandatory Requirements
- Diploma/Graduation in Mechanical Engineering.
- Minimum 68 years of QC experience in piping inspection.
- Strong knowledge of ASME codes (B31.3, B31.1, Section IX), API standards, and applicable welding codes.
- Experience in WPS/PQR/WPQT review and weld evaluation.
- Familiarity with NDT techniques and interpretation of NDT reports.
- Ability to read isometrics, P&IDs, and piping GA drawings.
- Strong documentation, reporting, and communication skills.
- Experience coordinating with EPC contractors, clients, and third-party inspectors.
