Job Description

Job Scope

To perform preventative and corrective maintenance on SNOC's instrument systems and to be part of the team delivering instrument upgrades and plant expansions.

Main Responsibilities

  • Ensure instrument reliability remains at its highest by reinforcing the use of proactive and predictive techniques.
  • Support CMMS best practices e.g. entering accurate job plans data, failure codes and remarks Develops maintenance plans and CMMS best practices.
  • Ensure that work is properly prepared, contains all risk identification and mitigations and is executed in a timely manner to minimize impact on coordination and production.
  • Ensure that any deviations to the equipment design or integrity are captured in MOC and that all corrective actions within his area of supervision are addressed in a timely manner to minimize impact on asset operability.

Qualifications / Experience /Special Conditions or Requirements

  • Two-year diploma in electronic and electrical engineering or instrumentation from vocational institute (ADVETI or similar).
  • Minimum of 2 years experience as instrument technician in process industry
  • Must have completed military service or be ineligible for service
  • UAE driving license

Experience and Special Conditions or requirements

  • Knowledge of Hazardous Area Certification (ATEX, API 505 etc)
  • Knowledge and experience of rotating equipment machinery protection systems
  • Formal training in Hazardous Area maintenance (COMPEX, UL, FM etc.) preferred

  • Good team working & communication skills.
  • Self-motivated, receptive to change and capable of working effectively within a team environment.
  • Good written and spoken English
  • Computer literate
