Instrumentation & Control (I&C) Technician

Key Responsibilities

Preventive & Corrective Maintenance

• Perform routine preventive and predictive maintenance on field instruments.
• Troubleshoot instrumentation and control system failures.
• Repair and replace defective instruments and control components.
• Maintain calibration records and maintenance reports.
  
  

Instrumentation Work

• Install, calibrate, and test:
• Pressure transmitters
• Flow meters
• Level transmitters
• Temperature instruments
• Conductivity analyzers
• pH analyzers
• Chlorine analyzers
• Turbidity analyzers
• Perform loop checking and signal verification.
  
  

Control & Automation Systems

• Maintain and troubleshoot PLC, RTU, HMI, SCADA, DCS, and control panels.
• Assist in commissioning and startup activities.
• Support control valve testing, tuning, and maintenance.
• Diagnose communication and network-related control issues.
  
  

Qualification RequirementsI&C Technician's Key Skills:

• Diploma or Technical Certificate in:
• Instrumentation Engineering
• Electronics Engineering
• Electrical Engineering
• Automation Technology
• Additional certifications in PLC/SCADA or instrumentation are advantageous.
• Knowledge of PROFIBUS communication protocols and troubleshooting
  
  

techniques.

• Experience with PROFIBUS-based process instrumentation, including pressure
  
  

transmitters, level transmitters, differential pressure transmitters, and

electromagnetic flowmeters (EMF).

• Knowledge of Festo panels, Siemens PLCs, and Yokogawa CENTUM VP DCS.
• Hands-on experience with diagnostic and calibration tools, including ProfiTrace
  
  

devices, pressure calibrators, and deadweight testers.

• Working experience with analyzer instrumentation, such as chlorine, pH, ORP,
  
  

hardness, and conductivity analyzers. Ability to read and interpret control wiring

diagrams, I/O lists, and P&IDs (Piping and Instrumentation Diagrams).

• Experience in RO (Reverse Osmosis) systems is optional but will be considered an
  
  

added advantage.
