Role Description This is a full-time Insurance Agent role based in Cairo, Egypt, with a hybrid work arrangement that combines on-site work and some work-from-home flexibility. The Insurance Agent will identify and engage prospective customers, conduct needs assessments, and recommend suitable life, health, accident, and savings products aligned with customer goals. Day-to-day responsibilities include presenting policy options, preparing quotations, and supporting customers through the application, underwriting, and policy issuance processes. The role involves maintaining ongoing relationships with policyholders, handling inquiries, processing basic service requests, and providing guidance on claims procedures. The Insurance Agent will also collaborate with colleagues and managers to meet sales targets, participate in training sessions, and stay current on MetLife products, compliance requirements, and market trends.
Qualifications
  • Strong sales acumen, with experience or interest in Insurance Sales and Insurance Brokerage, and the ability to meet or exceed sales targets in a structured environment.
  • Solid understanding of Insurance products and concepts, with the capacity to explain life, health, accident, and savings solutions clearly and transparently to customers.
  • Foundational knowledge of Finance, including basic financial planning principles and comfort discussing premiums, benefits, and long-term financial goals.
  • Excellent Customer Service skills, including active listening, empathy, problem-solving, and the ability to build long-term, trust-based relationships.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills in English and Arabic, with professional presentation and negotiation capabilities.
  • Organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to manage a pipeline of leads, follow up consistently, and maintain accurate records.
  • Comfort working in a hybrid environment in Cairo, Egypt, with the ability to collaborate in person and work independently from home.
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Economics, or a related field preferred; relevant insurance certifications or licensing are an advantage.
  • Previous experience in insurance, banking, financial services, or consultative sales is beneficial but not mandatory for highly motivated applicants.
