About the Role
We are seeking a skilled and proactive Integration Engineer / API Developer to design, develop, and maintain secure integration solutions for E-Invoicing and Compliance platforms aligned with UAE FTA and OpenPeppol frameworks.
The ideal candidate will play a key role in building scalable APIs and middleware services that connect ERP systems, external platforms, and regulatory gateways while ensuring high performance, reliability, and compliance.
Key Responsibilities
API Development & System Integration
- Design, develop, test, and deploy RESTful and SOAP-based APIs.
- Build secure integration services between ERP systems and e-invoicing gateways.
- Implement authentication and authorization mechanisms (OAuth 2.0, JWT).
- Perform data transformation using XML, JSON, and CSV formats.
- Ensure message structures comply with UAE FTA and Peppol standards.
- Integrate ERP platforms such as Sage X3, SAP, Oracle, or similar systems.
Architecture & Design
- Participate in solution design discussions and define integration architecture.
- Optimize APIs for scalability, performance, and fault tolerance.
- Apply industry best practices and design patterns in API development.
- Collaborate with DevOps teams for CI/CD deployment and monitoring.
Testing & Support
- Conduct integration testing and troubleshoot API-related issues.
- Support UAT and production environments.
- Maintain comprehensive API documentation (Swagger, Postman).
- Provide technical support during compliance audits and certifications.
Compliance & Security
- Ensure compliance with UAE FTA and OpenPeppol e-invoicing standards.
- Implement secure API gateways and encryption mechanisms.
- Follow secure coding and API lifecycle management practices.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field.
- 48 years of experience in backend development, API development, or system integration.
- Strong programming skills in C#, .NET, Python, or Node.js.
- Hands-on experience with REST, SOAP, JSON, XML.
- Experience integrating ERP or accounting systems (SAP, Oracle, Sage X3).
- Strong understanding of SQL / NoSQL databases.
- Experience with cloud integration services (Azure Integration Services, AWS, MuleSoft).
- Solid understanding of API security standards and authentication protocols.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with UAE FTA or OpenPeppol e-invoicing frameworks.
- Microsoft Azure Developer or AWS Developer certification.
- API Management or MuleSoft certification.
- Secure coding or API security certification.
