We are seeking a detail-oriented Integration Operations Engineer to manage, monitor, and support healthcare integrations using Mirth Connect (NextGen Integration Engine).
The role focuses on ensuring the reliability, stability, and operational excellence of interface environments that exchange clinical and operational data across healthcare systems.
You will work closely with Integration Developers, DevOps, DBAs, and application teams to maintain smooth end-to-end data flows, resolve interface issues, and support new integration onboarding.
Key Responsibilities
- Monitor and manage Mirth Connect channels, message queues, and dashboards across all environments (DEV, TEST, UAT, PROD).
- Perform message reprocessing, error analysis, and resolution for failed or delayed interfaces.
- Ensure high availability, stability, and performance of integration platforms.
- Support the deployment and operational handover of new integrations developed by integration teams.
- Collaborate with DevOps and DBA teams to troubleshoot connectivity, database, and infrastructure-related issues.
- Respond to incidents within defined SLAs and participate in root cause analysis (RCA).
- Maintain accurate documentation for channel configurations, operational procedures, and support runbooks.
Requirements
- Hands-on experience with Mirth Connect (NextGen Integration Engine) or similar integration engines.
- Strong understanding of healthcare messaging standards such as HL7 v2.x, FHIR, and XML/JSON.
- Experience working with REST and SOAP APIs.
- Solid skills in queue management, channel monitoring, and interface troubleshooting.
- Familiarity with healthcare IT environments (HIS, EMR/EHR integrations) is preferred.
- Ability to work in production support / operations environments with incident management processes.
- Good documentation and communication skills.
