Interior Design (ID) Inspector

Khatib & Alami is looking for an experienced Interior Design Inspector to join our Dubai Site Supervision team. The successful candidate will be responsible for inspecting interior fit-out and finishing works, ensuring compliance with approved drawings, project specifications, quality standards, and UAE authority requirements throughout project execution. This aligns with responsibilities commonly expected in Dubai consultancy site-supervision roles

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct daily site inspections for interior fit-out and finishing works, including partitions, ceilings, flooring, joinery, wall finishes, and FF&E installations.
• Ensure all works comply with approved shop drawings, material submittals, and project specifications.
• Monitor workmanship quality and identify non-conformance issues, ensuring timely corrective actions.
• Review material deliveries, mock-ups, and installation quality before approval.
• Maintain inspection records, daily reports, and site documentation.
• Support snagging, de-snagging, testing, and handover activities.
• Coordinate with contractors, architects, MEP teams, and project stakeholders to resolve site issues.
• Ensure compliance with QA/QC procedures, HSE requirements, and relevant Dubai authority standards.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in Interior Design, Interior Architecture, Architecture, or a related field.
• 8+ years of experience in interior design site supervision or inspection.
• UAE consultancy experience is mandatory.
• Strong knowledge of luxury residential, high-rise buildings, hospitality, or commercial projects.
• Excellent understanding of interior finishes, joinery, FF&E, and fit-out works.
• Ability to interpret architectural and interior drawings.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD; familiarity with BIM/Revit is an advantage.
• Strong reporting, coordination, and communication skills.
