Interior Designer

Company Description AES Interior Design & Architecture (Ayman & Ehab Studio) is a Cairo-based interior design and architecture studio founded in 2020. The studio delivers turnkey commercial and residential projects across Egypt and the wider region, managing the full process from concept and art direction to technical drawings, construction, and handover. AES works on diverse project types including restaurants, retail spaces, offices, and private residences. Team members collaborate closely with clients and partners to create functional, distinctive environments tailored to each project's vision and context.

Role Description The Interior Designer will work on full-cycle design projects, from initial concept development and mood boards through detailed drawings and on-site coordination. Day-to-day responsibilities include space planning, preparing interior layouts, developing FF&E selections, collaborating on architectural and construction drawings, and supporting project documentation. The role involves regular coordination with contractors, suppliers, and other design team members to ensure design intent is accurately realized on site. This is a full-time, on-site role based in New Cairo, requiring regular presence at the studio and project locations.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated skills in Interior Design and Space Planning for commercial and residential projects.
• Proficiency in Architecture and Construction Drawings, including coordination with engineering disciplines.
• Experience with FF&E (furniture, fixtures, and equipment) selection, specification, and sourcing.
• Strong skills in design software such as AutoCAD, Revit, SketchUp, and Adobe Creative Suite or equivalent tools.
• Bachelor's degree in Interior Design, Architecture, or a related field.
• Ability to interpret client needs, work within budget and timeline constraints, and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Effective communication and collaboration skills for working with clients, contractors, and multidisciplinary teams.
• Previous experience in commercial or residential interiors in Egypt or the region is an advantage.
