Job Summary
We are seeking a talented and motivated Interior Designer to join our team full-time. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing projects from the conceptual phase through to completion. This role requires a professional who is not only creative but also highly proficient in industry-standard design software to produce accurate design solutions and construction documentation. You will collaborate with clients, contractors, and internal teams to ensure design excellence on every project. This is a full-time, on-site position requiring daily presence at our office and project sites .
Key Responsibilities
- Design & Concept Development: Develop creative and functional design concepts, space plans, and mood boards in alignment with client needs and project objectives . Select and specify all finishes, materials, fixtures, and furniture (FF&E) .
- Technical Documentation: Produce accurate and detailed design drawings, including floor plans, elevations, sections, and detailed construction documents. Prepare finish schedules, specifications, and material selection documents .
- Project Coordination: Coordinate with consultants, contractors, and suppliers to ensure the seamless execution of the design intent. Attend on-site meetings, conduct site observations, and assist in resolving construction and site issues .
- Client Communication: Prepare and deliver compelling design presentations to clients. Effectively communicate design concepts and revisions to ensure client satisfaction .
Required Qualifications
- Education: Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Interior Design, Architecture, or a related field .
- Experience: A minimum of 1-2 years of professional experience in an interior design or architecture firm .
- Software Proficiency: Expert knowledge and proven experience in the following:
- AutoCAD (mandatory)
- Revit (highly preferred or mandatory)
- SketchUp (mandatory)
- Technical Skills: Strong understanding of design principles, space planning, building codes, and construction methodologies .
- Soft Skills: Excellent communication, presentation, and coordination skills. Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team environment .
Preferred Qualifications
- Certifications: NCIDQ certification or progress towards it .
- Additional Software: Proficiency in 3ds Max, Photoshop, and InDesign .
- Specialized Experience: Experience in specific sectors such as commercial, hospitality, or residential design.
