Sofitel Al Hamra Beach Resort We are seeking an enthusiastic and customer-focused Intern - Bartender to join our hospitality team in Ras Al-Khaimah, United Arab Emirates. This internship offers an excellent opportunity to develop practical bartending skills in a dynamic bar environment while providing exceptional service to our guests. You will work alongside experienced bartenders, learning the craft of mixology and hospitality excellence while contributing to a positive and efficient bar operation.Prepare and serve beverages according to established recipes and presentation standards with precision and attention to detailGreet guests in a friendly and professional manner, taking orders and providing knowledgeable recommendationsMaintain cleanliness and organization of the bar station, including equipment, glassware, and suppliesAssist in inventory management and stock rotation of beverages and bar suppliesOperate the point-of-sale (POS) system accurately and handle cash transactions responsiblyCollaborate with bar staff and other team members to ensure smooth service during peak hoursFollow all health, safety, and hygiene protocols, including proper handling of alcoholic beverages in compliance with UAE regulationsSupport senior bartenders in training and learning best practices for customer engagement and drink preparationRespond promptly to guest requests and address any concerns with professionalism and courtesyContribute to maintaining a welcoming and efficient bar atmosphere
Strong customer service orientation with excellent interpersonal and communication skillsAbility to work efficiently in a fast-paced, high-volume environmentDetail-oriented approach to drink preparation and presentationPhysical stamina to stand for extended periods and perform repetitive tasksReliable, punctual, and committed to teamwork and collaborationBasic knowledge of beverage types and flavor profiles (preferred)Previous experience in hospitality, food service, or customer-facing roles (preferred)Familiarity with POS systems and cash handling procedures (preferred)Knowledge of UAE hospitality standards and cultural sensitivity (preferred)Willingness to learn and develop bartending skills through hands-on trainingAbility to follow instructions and adhere to health and safety regulations
