A large, newly established organization in Riyadh is seeking an exceptional Head of Internal Audit to build and lead the Internal Audit function from the ground up.
This is a rare opportunity to shape governance, risk, and assurance frameworks at an enterprise level within a high-profile, rapidly growing organization.
The Opportunity
Reporting directly to the Audit Committee of the Board, with administrative reporting to the CEO, you will:
- Establish and lead the Internal Audit function in line with IIA standards and global best practice
- Develop the Internal Audit Charter, methodology, policies, and procedures
- Build a risk-based audit plan aligned to strategic objectives
- Assess governance, risk management, and internal control frameworks
- Provide independent, objective assurance to the Audit Committee and Board
- Lead recruitment, development, and mentoring of a high-performing audit team
- Partner with executive leadership while maintaining full independence
- Support regulatory readiness and organizational maturity
- This is a strategic leadership role requiring gravitas, independence, and the ability to influence at Board level
Candidate Profile
We are looking for a senior audit executive with:
- 15+ years of progressive experience in Internal Audit, Risk, or Assurance
- Prior experience establishing or transforming an Internal Audit function
- Experience reporting directly to an Audit Committee or Board
- Strong understanding of governance frameworks, enterprise risk management, and internal controls
- Experience within large, complex, or government-related entities preferred
- Professional certifications such as CIA, CPA, ACCA, or equivalent
- Exceptional stakeholder management and communication skills
