Summary:
The purpose of this role is to provide independent and objective assurance on the efficiency of the company's engineering and operational processes. The auditor will evaluate compliance with technical standards, manage project-related risks, and ensure that works are executed according to approved specifications, timelines, and budgets.
Key Responsibilities:
- Engineering Project Audit: Review blueprints, Bills of Quantities (BOQ), and engineering contracts to ensure full compliance with internal standards and local regulations.
- On-site Performance Evaluation: Conduct regular field visits to project sites to reconcile actual physical progress with documented reports and financial invoices.
- Cost & Resource Control: Audit the efficiency of material and equipment utilization on-site to minimize waste and ensure adherence to estimated budgets.
- Technical Risk Management: Identify potential risks during design or execution phases and provide preventive recommendations to avoid delays or structural defects.
- Variation Order Audit: Analyze and review Change/Variation Orders to verify their technical necessity and ensure fair pricing.
- Audit Reporting: Prepare periodic reports for management highlighting operational gaps and proposing practical solutions to enhance execution quality and delivery speed.
Qualifications & Requirements:
- Education: Bachelor's degree in engineering (Civil, Architectural, or Mechanical).
- Experience: 3 to 5 years of experience in engineering or technical project auditing/control.
- Technical Skills:
- Proficiency in reading engineering drawings and using software such as (AutoCAD) or (Revit).
- Strong knowledge of project management principles and quality standards (e.g., ISO).
- Deep understanding of the project lifecycle from design to final handover.
- Soft Skills:
- High attention to detail and technical accuracy.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to derive insights from complex data.
- High level of integrity and objectivity in evaluation.
