About the job

A leading diversified group in Dubai is seeking to appoint a highly experienced Internal Auditor to support and strengthen the organization's internal control environment, governance framework, operational compliance, and risk management practices across its real estate, facilities management, warehouse, logistics, and operational business activities.

The role requires a professional with strong exposure to operational auditing, financial controls, property management audits, construction/project reviews, and compliance assessments within complex business environments.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and execute risk-based internal audit plans across operational and business units

• Conduct operational, financial, and compliance audits to assess the effectiveness of internal controls and governance processes

• Review company policies, SOPs, approval authorities, and compliance procedures

• Evaluate financial controls related to cash handling, procurement, payments, inventory, warehouse operations, and operational expenditures

• Review accounting records, reconciliations, financial transactions, and supporting documentation

• Conduct audits related to real estate operations, lease agreements, rental calculations, service charges, and property-related expenditures

• Assess controls related to facilities management operations, labor accommodations, warehouses, logistics facilities, and company assets

• Review project-related costs, fit-out works, contractor claims, capital expenditures, and construction-related payments

• Conduct operational reviews, stock counts, surprise audits, and investigations into irregularities, policy violations, or suspected fraud

• Prepare detailed audit reports with findings, observations, risk assessments, and practical recommendations for management

• Follow up on corrective actions and monitor implementation of audit recommendations across departments

Requirements & Qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field

• Professional certifications such as CIA, CPA, ACCA, or CMA are highly preferred

• Minimum 5–7 years of relevant experience in Internal Audit, Operational Audit, or Compliance functions

• Strong experience within Real Estate, Facilities Management, Property Management, Retail Operations, Warehousing, or Logistics sectors is mandatory

• Strong understanding of internal audit standards, risk assessment methodologies, governance, and internal control frameworks

• Familiarity with UAE financial regulations, VAT compliance, commercial leasing practices, and operational compliance requirements

• Experience in ERP systems, financial reporting systems, and operational audit processes

• Strong analytical, investigative, reporting, and communication skills

• Ability to work independently, manage multiple audits, and maintain high levels of confidentiality and professional integrity

• Fluency in Arabic and English is mandatory

• Preference will be given to Arab nationals
