Job Description

Roles & Responsibilities:

  • Participation in the execution of audits according to the annual Internal Audit Plan based on the guidance from the Head of Internal Audit.
  • Compliance with audit programs and templates.
  • Performing the fieldwork in accordance with the internal control system, determining the size and scope of the audit and test for compliance with policies and procedures.
  • Auditing, inspecting and analyzing all data and records that would ensure completeness of the audit process to the fullest.
  • Gathering the necessary information and data before the fieldwork visits start in order to carry out the audit in a professional way.
  • Identify key stakeholders and gather necessary background information.
  • Execute audit procedures, including testing controls and evaluating processes.
  • Conduct interviews with process owners to understand processes and identify potential risks.
  • Analyze trends and patterns in data to uncover underlying issues.
  • Preparing all the necessary working papers and then presenting them to the Head of Internal Audit.
  • Ensure that audit results are well-documented and presented to Head of Internal Audit.
  • Support in preparing internal audit reports.
  • Attending the periodic meetings with the internal audit team to discuss and evaluate work progress mechanism and to take necessary actions.
  • Implementation of the internal audit manual as well as ensuring compliance with them.
  • Discussing and presenting observations and corrective actions of the audited departments and following up on their implementation periodically.

Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting or a related field (preferred).
  • 2-3 years of experience in internal auditing or a relevant field.
  • Experience in executing audits.

Skills

  • Good command of the Arabic and English language (verbal and written).
  • Knowledge of ERP is desirable but not mandatory.
  • Strong literacy in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
  • Ability to work as an effective team player.
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work under pressure and handle a sizable volume of activities.
  • Confident and assertive with an appropriate degree of courtesy and overall professionalism.
  • Ability to analyze data and identify gaps and issues.
